Montessori Toddler Curriculum (ages 18months – 3 years)

Fostering Independence, Confidence, and Discovery

Emotional and Social Development
• Encourages independence and self-confidence through daily routines
• Builds social skills like sharing, turn-taking, and cooperative play

• Introduces social customs and cultural traditions (e.g., holiday activities)

Practical Life Skills
• Teaches care of the environment (sweeping, mopping, watering plants, dishwashing)

• Builds concentration, responsibility, and coordination through purposeful tasks

Language Development
• Develops early communication through stories, songs, and conversation
• Introduces phonetic sounds with sandpaper letters
• Uses matching and naming games to build vocabulary and comprehension
• Incorporates basic sign language to aid early expression and reduce frustration

Motor Skill Development
• Enhances fine motor skills through pouring, spooning, sorting, and art activities

Early Math & Cognitive Skills

• Promotes discovery using all five senses (touch, sound, sight, taste, smell)

Creativity & Artistic Expression
• Offers open-ended art activities to enhance creativity and fine motor development
• Supports language development through discussion and storytelling about artwork
